Jason Kaplan, DPM
Dr. Jason Kaplan is a dedicated podiatric physician and surgeon at Advanced Foot and Ankle Centers, Inc., located in Clovis, CA. He completed his undergraduate studies at Portland State University in Portland, Oregon, and earned his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree from the New York College of Podiatric Medicine in 2019.
Dr. Kaplan further honed his expertise during a three-year surgical residency at Tucson Medical Center in Arizona, where he served as Chief Resident in 2022. His residency provided him with comprehensive surgical training in foot and ankle pathologies, including traumatic injuries, reconstructive forefoot and rearfoot procedures, and wound care. He provides routine podiatric care and specializes in treating traumatic injuries, deformity correction, and limb salvage. He also provides Vaporox therapy for treating chronic wounds.

Sergio Melara, DPM
Dr. Sergio Melara, pursued his undergraduate education at UC Davis in Davis, CA. He earned his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree from Midwestern University College of Podiatric Medicine in Glendale, Arizona, graduating in 2020. Following his doctorate, Dr. Melara completed a rigorous 3-year surgical residency at Tucson Medical Center, concluding in 2023. He is Board Qualified with the American Board of Foot & Ankle Surgery.
Dr. Melara's professional specialties include reconstructive foot and ankle surgery, limb salvage, and diabetic foot care. He holds medical and surgical privileges at Saint Agnes Medical Center, Clovis Community Medical Center, and Community Regional Medical Center. Fluent in both English and Spanish, Dr. Melara is committed to providing comprehensive care to a diverse patient population.
Beyond his professional commitments, Dr. Melara enjoys traveling, hiking, and spending quality time with his family. He has traveled to Guatemala and Ghana to provide medical care and looks forward to continuing his efforts in serving patients abroad in the future.
Amir Shalev, DPM
Dr. Amir Shalev, DPM, began his academic journey with undergraduate studies at the University of Toronto and Tel Aviv University, where he earned a BS in Nutritional Science and an MS in Middle Eastern Studies. He pursued his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree at Des Moines University College of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery, graduating in 2000. Dr. Shalev then completed a three-year residency at Wyckoff Heights Medical Center, followed by a one-year fellowship in wound care at St. John's Medical College, concluding in 2023.
Dr. Shalev specializes in treating heel pain, ingrown toenails, diabetic foot wounds, sports injuries, neuropathy, and providing custom-made orthotics. His hospital affiliations include Wyckoff Heights Medical Center, St. John's Medical College, Mountainview Hospital, and Summerlin Hospital Medical Center.
